Larger pieces of blue slate are tumbled to produce flat, rounded, beautiful Blue Slate Paddlestones.

Slate Chippings are sourced naturally from the quarry, and in some instances, the product may require a simple rinse with water to remove natural dust and ensure the slate’s natural colour is enjoyed.

Blue Paddlestone Uses

Our beautiful Blue Paddlestones are ideal as a large ground cover product for gardens and landscapes

They can be used for a scree-like effect, or to stand out more than normal chippings between rockeries and planting areas.

Although these Blue Paddlestones can be walked on as they settle flat, they are not recommended for paths or drives due to their size.

As with all slate, these look particularly stunning due to their flat finish in and around water.

These Blue Paddlestones are best laid at 6cm deep, and the actual size ranges between 50-150mm.

Paddlestone Inspiration

If you’d like to mix and match, and bring an extra splash of colour to your outdoor area, the paddlestones are also available in plum and green.

We also stock hololiths and monoliths, that can be ordered in a mix of beautiful plum, grey and blue coloured slate. They are sometimes available in an unusual green slate too. Spread Slate Paddlestones around the base of any monolith for a great effect that looks fantastic with water too.
